Land Clearing Insurance

Clearing land puts heavy equipment, fire risk and neighboring property all in play, and many insurance companies won't write it. We go to the ones that do, schedule your mulchers and dozers the way you use them, and match your limits to what developers require. Call or text about your next job and talk it through with someone who knows site work.

Good to Know

Before You Buy

Clearing work is rated by method, so the details matter. We go through each one with you before you sign.

  • Methods. Burning, mulching and tree removal can each be rated differently, so describe all of your work when you quote.
  • Equipment. General liability doesn't cover your own equipment, so contractors equipment coverage is usually needed.
  • Neighboring land. Damage to trees, fences or structures on neighboring land is a common clearing claim.
  • Burning. Some policies exclude open burning, and many areas require a permit. Tell us before you burn.
  • Hauling. Trucks and trailers moving equipment need commercial auto with the right limits.
  • Workers comp. Saw and chipper work makes workers comp especially important for clearing crews.
