Commercial Property Insurance
Many businesses are insured for what they paid years ago, not what it would cost to replace everything today. We help set your values to today's costs, read your lease for what your landlord requires, and point out exclusions like flood or equipment breakdown before you buy. Call or text and we'll go over your lease and what you own with you.

What It Covers
What Commercial Property Includes
Exact coverage depends on the policy and the insurance company. We walk you through yours before you buy.
- Buildings you own or must insure under your lease
- Equipment, furniture and inventory
- Improvements you've paid for in a leased space
- Business income after a covered loss
- Outdoor signs and customers' property in your care
Good to Know
Before You Buy
Property claims are settled on values and terms you choose up front. We review each one with you before you buy.
- Coinsurance. Many policies have a coinsurance clause that can reduce a claim payment if you're insured for less than a set share of value.
- Valuation. Replacement cost and actual cash value can pay very different amounts after a loss. We show you which one you're buying.
- Flood and earthquake. Flood and earthquake are usually excluded and need separate policies.
- Lease requirements. Your lease may require you to insure your improvements or the building itself. We read it so your policy matches.
- Business income. A serious loss often stops income too. Business income coverage can help pay bills and payroll while you rebuild.
- Equipment breakdown. Breakdown of heating, cooling and electrical systems is often excluded from basic property forms. It can usually be added.

Gaps to Check With Property
Property protects what you own. These need their own coverage, and we check for each one when we quote.
A BOP May Cost Less
If you qualify, a business owners policy packages property and liability, often for less than buying both separately.
Property Doesn't Cover Lawsuits
Injuries and damage you cause to others need general liability.
Lost Data Isn't Property
Property policies usually don't cover data or ransomware. Cyber helps pay for the response.
Vehicles Aren't Covered Under Property
Business vehicles need their own commercial auto policy.
Your Business Depends on Key People
If losing one person would hurt sales or operations, key person coverage gives the business money to recruit and keep going.
Employee Injuries Need Workers Comp
Injuries to your own employees fall under workers comp, which most states require once you have employees.
