Final Expense Insurance

Nobody wants their family choosing between a funeral and the bills. Some companies ask a few health questions and some ask none, so we find the ones that fit your health and explain the amounts and any waiting periods, in English or Spanish, with no pressure. Call or text and a real person will walk you and your family through it.

  • Those who may not qualify for larger policies

Good to Know

Before You Buy

Final expense coverage is built to be easy to get, but the benefit amount and waiting period still matter. We go through each with you before you apply.

  • Several companies. We compare several companies and explain your options in plain English or Spanish.
  • Funeral costs. The National Funeral Directors Association put the median cost of a funeral with viewing and burial at $8,300 in 2023.
  • Health questions. Many final expense policies use a few health questions instead of a medical exam.
  • Waiting period. Some policies have a waiting period, often two years, before the full benefit is paid for death from illness.
  • Level premiums. Premiums generally stay the same, and coverage doesn't expire as long as premiums are paid.
  • Beneficiary. Name someone you trust to handle the arrangements. The benefit is paid to your beneficiary, who can use it for the funeral and other bills.
