Good to Know
Before You Buy
Your limits and deductibles decide what you pay after an accident. We walk through each choice with you before you buy.
- Liability limits. If damages go over your limits, you can be personally responsible for the rest. State minimums are often far below what a serious accident costs.
- Uninsured motorist. It protects you when the other driver has no insurance or not enough. Many drivers set it to match their liability limits.
- Deductibles. A higher deductible can lower your premium if you could comfortably pay it. Choose an amount you could cover on short notice.
- Rideshare and delivery. Rideshare and delivery driving usually need extra coverage added to a personal auto policy. Without it, a claim during a trip may be denied.
- Household drivers. Most companies want every licensed driver in your home listed. Leaving one off can cause problems at claim time.
- Rental and towing. Rental car and roadside coverage are usually low cost add-ons. They help most when your car is in the shop after a claim.

Gaps Drivers Often Miss
Your auto policy leaves these out. We check for every one of them when we quote, and most take only a few more answers.
State Minimums Rarely Cover a Serious Accident
Anything over your limits can come back to you. An umbrella adds protection above your auto and home.
Home and Auto, Priced Both Ways
Some companies give a discount when both are with them, others don't. We price them together and separately so you can compare.
Driving for Work May Not Be Covered
Personal auto policies often exclude vehicles used mainly for business. Commercial auto fills that gap.
Boats, Golf Carts and Motorcycles Need Their Own Coverage
Many people assume their home or auto policy covers them. Most need a separate policy or an added endorsement.
Your Family Depends on Your Income
If something happened to you, term life helps your family keep up with the bills for the years they need it most.
Renting? Your Landlord Doesn't Cover Your Things
The building owner's policy covers the building. Your belongings and liability need a renters policy.
